How to Browse the Calendar
To view upcoming events on the calendar, follow these steps:
- Select a Start Date and End Date to define your search range.
- Choose an Event Type from the dropdown menu (e.g., Public Skate, Stick Time, Freestyle).
- Click the magnifying glass icon to display all matching events.
Note: On some devices, the calendar may not display any events until you press the magnifying glass to search.

- 10 hours — $190 ($19 per Hour)
- 20 hours — $360 ($18 per Hour)
- 30 hours — $510 ($17 per Hour)
- 1 Month Unlimited — $450
- 3 Month Unlimited — $1200
Stick Time
- Stick Time is provided for players to practice shooting, puck handling, and individual drills.
- Full equipment required. No contact allowed.
- All skaters must sign in and pay before taking the ice.
- Schedule is subject to change without notice.
- Cost: $20 per person
Open Hockey
- Pickup-style games for players seeking casual game play.
- Full equipment required. No checking.
- All skaters must sign in and pay before taking the ice.

Private Hockey Lessons
Looking for one-on-one or small group instruction? Steel Ice Center offers private hockey lessons with some of the most experienced instructors in the Lehigh Valley.
Ice fees are $15 per half hour or $20 per hour and are paid at the front desk. Instructor fees vary and are paid directly to the instructor. Lessons are arranged directly with the instructor.

Getting Started in Youth Hockey
Steel Ice Center proudly partners with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth to offer a structured and welcoming introduction to the sport of hockey through their Developmental League.
Phantoms Youth Developmental League is the official beginner program for new hockey players. With age-appropriate instruction, weekly sessions, and an emphasis on fun and fundamentals, D League is where your hockey journey begins. Players must have full equipment, and rental options may be available locally.

Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth is a premier 501(c)(3) non-profit youth hockey organization based at Steel Ice Center. With a tradition dating back to 1975, Phantoms Youth offers players of all ages and skill levels competitive and developmental opportunities across Tier 2 (AHF), Tier 1 (AYHL), and girls hockey (AGHF).
Through high-quality coaching, structured player development, and a focus on core values—sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, discipline, and leadership—Phantoms Youth helps young athletes build skills, confidence, and character on and off the ice.
As proud partners of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) and affiliates of the Charlotte Rush (Tier 3 Juniors), Phantoms Youth provides players with clear advancement pathways while fostering a strong and supportive hockey community.

Special Hockey of the Lehigh Valley
Special Hockey of the Lehigh Valley (SHLV) is a recreational ice hockey program for children and young adults with Autism, Down syndrome, and other cognitive challenges. In addition to teaching hockey, SHLV fosters confidence, friendships, and a supportive community for players and families. No prior hockey or skating experience is required, and the program provides equipment and 1-on-1 coaching to help new players succeed.
